Our own recipe of wheat and chick pea protein ‘meaty’ Vork filling, glazed with maple syrup and Henderson’s relish, in our new 50/50 wholemeal/white hot water crust pastry. Delicious served cold as part of a Ploughman’s lunch just like a pork pie!
Ingredients: 50%/50% white and wholemeal Wheat flour (with ascorbic acid & statutory nutrients calcium carbonate, iron, niacin, thiamin), chick peas, wheat gluten, water, tomato puree, coconut oil, vegetable stock (maltodextrin (Maize) vegetables, yeast extract, herbs) sunflower oil, coconut aminos (Organic Coconut Flower Blossom Nectar, Sea Salt.), maple syrup, Hendersons relish (Water, Spirit Vinegar, Sugar, Colour – Caramel E150c, Sugar Syrup, Salt, Tamarinds, Acetic Acid – Acid, Cayenne Pepper, Cloves, Sweetener – Saccharin, Garlic Oil), nutritional yeast, dulce seaweed flakes, liquid smoke (water, natural hickory smoke flavour, vinegar, molasses, caramel colour, salt) Gelling Agent: Carrageenan, Acidity Regulators: Sodium Citrate, Potassium Chloride, smoked paprika, white pepper, salt, garlic, parsley, cloves, aquafaba. While the seaweed producers take every care during harvesting, this is a natural product from the sea, and so may contain traces of crustaceans and molluscs.
